As an icebreaker, here is a photo of me at 7. I am still that nice.
I'm known in the industry for helping set a new standard in celebrity memoir—and meeting deadlines (which is rarer than you'd think). But the true joy of my work is connecting with incredible people and seeing them bloom through the process of getting their stories down on paper.
The people who come to me are already successful, but together we seize the opportunity to take hold of the narratives of their lives, and solidify the place they choose in culture. I am proud that the authors I work with have consistently used these books to level up.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to writing a book that connects with a large and diverse readership. When we meet, we get a sense of each other, and I tailor the experience to you. You can trust me to always have your best interests at heart.
When I work with you, we will create a book that is true to your voice. At the end of the journey, when you are recording your audio version, your book--your story—will have your rhythm, language, and intention. Readers respond to the authenticity that fills the books I work on, and the quality of the work we create together ensures you a larger platform.
After surviving this bowl cut, I majored in English at Wesleyan University. My junior year, I was chosen to do an intensive program in classical studies at the University of Sussex in Brighton, England. For my senior thesis at Wesleyan I did an analysis of classical models of the hero in contemporary memoir. I worked in mainstream magazines for more than a decade, and I learned the secrets of telling stories to and for a mass audience.
I have worked on seven bestselling books, and I don't apologize for wanting to create bestsellers. Each copy represents a reader, and I love that our readers then put the book in the hands of the people they love. I work on important stories, and I want your book to be in the hands of as many people as possible.
